The ASSET (Analysis of Social Services Evaluation Team) process has existed in Story County since 1985. It brings together five major funders of human services programs in a collaborative, volunteer-led effort to coordinate local planning, assess needs, evaluate the capabilities of agencies to provide programs, and recommend funding for programs.
More information about ASSET (including eligibility for the process and funding application forms) is available on this website.

ASSET is supported by six Funders: The City of Ames, Department of Human Services, Government of the Student Body of ISU, Story County, Central Iowa Community Services, and United Way of Story County. All but DHS contribute direct funding to the ASSET process. Each Funder has priorities that guide the Volunteers in making their recommendations.
